In addition the rum producing nations created their own style by methods being perfectionated, colonization trade partners and even legislation puts its stamp on the many varieties of rum that are available, making rum probably the most versatile spirit in the world. In this Rum facts we try to give an overview of the typical characteristics of the different rum producing nations, whilst keeping in mind that we might still have big differences within a country and even region because each brand and distillery may have their own characteristics and aging process
