Rum4me offers 2 different bottlings of Emperor Rum; the Heritage version and the Sherry Finish. All are fermented, distilled, matured and blended in Mauritius.
Emperor Rum is distilled and matured in Mauritius, and produced from a blend of sugar cane juice and sugar cane molasses. In this rum series, the styles are blended, creating a very special flavor combination that is rarely seen in the rum world.
Emperor Rum Heritage is a sweet rum bottled at 40% alcohol, with flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, french oak, spices, and tart elements from the fresh sugar cane juice, and lots of fruit.
The reason for the great diversity in rum production on Mauritius lies in the island’s history. Mauritius was a Dutch colony (1638–1710), a French colony (1715–1810), and a British colony (1810–1968). As a result, the island is multi-ethnic, multi-religious, multicultural, multilingual and, of course, a producer of a wide variety of products.
Emperor Rum is therefore the perfect example of the island’s heritage and history, combining French “Agricole”-style rum with English-style rum. Traditional rum meets agricultural rum - the best of both worlds.
